Training Requirements & Courses

In order to Survive in the Wilderness, certain key skills need to be mastered. These include navagation, first aid, survival and camp craft.

In the UK there are many organisations who can help with learning these basic skills.

For younger people these include:

The Scouts, Boys Brigade, The Guides, Girls Brigade, Army Cadet Force, Sea Cadets, Air Training Corp, St John Ambulance, British Red Cross, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme

For Adults all of the above are available if you wish to volunteer for youth work, additionally.

Territorial Army, Royal Auxiliary Air Force, Royal Naval Reserve

If you wish to take a more direct route to learn a skill several options are available
